Our family of 4 had an awesome trip. Stable kayaks. Knowledgeable guides. We got a chance to swim in the bio luminescence. Very cool. A good time was had by all. We received this trip as a gift certificate, and it was a great gift.

I decided to take my family kayaking and it was the first time for all of us. We all loved the experience from that night! Since it was our first time kayaking, we struggled a bit but our guide was very patient. My whole family fell in love and want to go again!

It was a NIGHTMARE! We were on the June 15th bioluminescent kayak trip at kayak beach. We headed out on a double kayak with about 8 people, some on stand up paddle boards. A storm started to come in and the waves picked up. Several people flipped over and were screaming for help. Keep in mind this was the middle to end of a very deep chanel we were crossing to get to the shore..We took 2 separate ladies onto our kayak and helped them get up to shore. The guide was no where to be found while we were trying to help as many people as we could. We decided to paddle back to the launch when we could barely steer the kayak and were being pulled out with the tide. It took us double the time to come back and when we found the launch there were several polices officers waiting for us and told us 2 of the kayakers in our group were missing. They asked us for our statement, drivers license and phone numbers. They kept us for 20 min and finally let us go. On our way back to our hotel this huge storm was so bad we couldn't even see the road to drive. Thunder and lightning were everywhere. If we would have stayed with our tour, who knows what would have happened. This was one of the scariest experiences of my life. I'm a Florida native and have been on the water since I could walk. This was a very dangerous experience. The weather should have been followed meticulously by Paddle Adventure company and guide. This was absolutely NOT safe to go out in. I will be asking for my money back and I will NEVER do this again. Thoroughly disappointed!

We have since been able to connect with our partners on your experience with them. Our partner's number one priority is safety and I am so sorry to hear you were put in what felt like a scary situation. Our partners truly apologize for the disappointment they caused on your tour with them. They did let me know that they follow strict guidelines with a platform called "Weather Underground'', which predicted the storm to be under a 30% chance that afternoon. They let me know that they elect to run their tours as long as the storm prediction is under a 30% chance, which was the case on your evening trip with them. As soon as the storm started to form, our partners let us know the guide worked diligently to get everyone back to safety on shore. We apologize that it felt like an unsafe situation for you and the tour members involved. Our partners assured us that your tour guide did everything in his power to get everyone to safety and in the process called the coast guard when the party disbursed as he went to help another tour member with some underlying health issues.
With that said, we completely understand how frightening your experience must have felt. We have gone ahead and issued you a full refund back to your original purchasing card with us. We know that you had a frightening experience and would love to have a second shot at a first impression. We have gone ahead and placed a $100.00 credit into your account to hopefully be able to get out on a future experience with us. I have just left you a very detailed voicemail message, for you & apologize once again for your negative experience.
