Christmas comes but once a year… unless you double-up the holiday cheer! And why wouldn’t you?!

Nothing allows for more quirky creativity than Christmas in July, complete with plenty of festive fun in the sun!

Here are 12 holly jolly summer shenanigans to enjoy with family and friends during this ‘holiday' season! (And just wait 'til you see #6 and #10!)

1. No snow? No problem!

If the weather is too hot for Frosty’s taste, swap snowmen, sledding and snowballs for some sandmen, sandboarding and water balloons!

2. Did someone say beach-themed Christmas party?

Invite guests to dress as subtropical Santas and reindeer (zinc oxide should obviously be mandatory).

3. Looking for some outrageous summer stocking stuffers?

Go for the gift that will get someone out to enjoy some fun in the sun! Bubbles, kites, beach balls, s’more supplies, sunscreen, pinwheels…

4. Craving a Christmas parade?

Deck bikes in fa-la-la festive gear and load up on candy. Then take to the streets as a present-giving peloton, treating spectators to your stash of sweets!

5. Need to make a huge splash at a Christmas in July party?

Summer cookies will take the cake! And decorative ideas are easy and endless – beach balls, flipflops, smiley sun faces, sailboats…

6. Thirsty now, too?

Save your punch bowls for the winter holiday party. For the perfect blend of chilled beach and Christmas beverages, serve ice and drinks in beach buckets!

7. Still hungry?

Try some peppermint s’mores! Crush candy canes or peppermint candies into small pieces. Sprinkle some on top of your chocolate before topping the treat with ooey-gooey marshmallow goodness.

8. Got to get ahead of the game?

Add a personal touch to December decorations and glass-blow your own ornaments for the tree!

9. Looking to beat the heat?

Head to the local ice skating rink. Christmas-y costuming and a carol-filled playlist on the ol’ iPod are optional… but they are strongly encouraged and make for a much more memorable outing.

10. Wanna dress to not impress?

A new, summer-filled spin on the old ‘ugly Christmas sweater’ favorite — have an ugly t-shirt party!

11. Need a fun way to chill?

Crank up the AC, grab some blankets and hot cocoa, and snuggle up to a classic holiday film. (I don’t know about you, but a Home Alone I and II movie-marathon would complete my Christmas in July.)

12. Ready to cut a rug?

Ditch the mistletoe and do the disco ball! Twist, shout and dance your heart out to a merry mix of hot summer tunes and holiday hits.

Here’s wishing you a very ho-ho-happy Christmas in July!
