When Do I Choose A Date?

If giving as a gift, your recipient can choose a date at their convenience; otherwise, you can choose one after checkout.

April through Early-November:
Thursday through Sunday - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Mid-November through March:
Saturday and Sunday - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

What To Wear

Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for weather conditions. We recommend dressing in layers and avoiding windbreakers as they tend to fill with air. A cloth flying helmet and ear plugs are provided. If you would like to take a camera on board, please make sure it has a strap or leash to secure around your wrist or neck.

Is it safe?

Safety is always the first priority. Each aircraft is meticulously restored and maintained to meet the highest FAA maintenance standards. This aircraft is approved through the FAA's Living History Flight Experience.

What if my flight is cancelled for weather?

Always contact the experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions. If your flight is cancelled for weather, you will reschedule directly with the pilot.

Can people with physical disabilities go on this flight?

In general, yes. Please contact Virgin Experience Gifts directly to discuss and ensure the experience provider is able to accommodate.

Can I bring a camera or camcorder?

Yes, but your camera must have a strap. A camera with a wide angle or panoramic lens is best, but even a throw away camera will capture this unforgettable experience. A camcorder is okay as long as it is one of the smaller handheld types.

Is the cockpit climate controlled?

The Canopy of the North American P51 Mustang is a Bubble Canopy, which offers great visibility but is not climate controlled and gets very warm when the temperature is above 90 degrees outside. When booking in the summer, it’s suggested to choose a time between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM to accommodate a more comfortable ride.

Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Experience Gifts.

Cancellation Policy

Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is canceled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.

Don't wait. There are very few of these aircraft still flying and just being around the P51 is worth the trip. The icing on the cake is dealing with the amazing people that run the operation. Sheryl and Chris make you feel as welcome as coming home. They've done this a thousand times but I never felt like I was the thousandth customer. Even young Travis welcomed me with a hardy handshake and a big smile. Between the aircraft and the personnel operating these amazing machines, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Don't wait, stopping talking about doing it and do it.
