COVID-19 Safety

For this experience, our partners are taking extra measures to prevent any potential spread of COVID-19. In those jurisdictions where it is required, all guests over the age of 18 are required to provide their full name and email address prior to boarding the vessels. Guests who self-report they are experiencing any symptoms indicative of COVID-19 will not be permitted to board our partner's vessel. All guests ages 3 and older are required to wear face coverings at all times while on board our vessels, except while dining, unless exempted by the local health authority. Our partners request that each guest face mask fully cover an individual’s nose and mouth and allow the guest to remain hands-free. They also require that the mask fit snugly against the side of the face, be secured with ties or ear loops, and be made of breathable material. Guests who do not have a face mask will not be permitted to board the vessel. If you have travelled internationally in the last 14 days, the CDC advises that you should stay at home and avoid contact with others. Additionally in those jurisdictions where it is required, guests will undergo temperature screening prior to boarding. Based on guidance from health authorities, anyone displaying a temperature of 100.4 F or above will not be allowed entry; those in their party will not be allowed entry either. These Covid-19 safety measures are subject to change.

What is the cruise route?

The only vessel designed specifically to travel beneath the historic bridges spanning the Potomac, the Odyssey offers exclusive river views of the nation's greatest monuments from every table. At times when wind and tide conditions prevent navigation to the Kennedy Center and Gerogetown, an alternate route south on the Potomac and past historical Old Town Alexandria will be taken.

Odyssey offers an inviting dance floor and a variety of live music from a 4- or 5-piece band on the dinner cruise.

Is the ship wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The ship can accommodate wheelchairs for boarding and provides a handicap-accessible restroom. Please notify Virgin Experience Gifts at the time of booking so the appropriate assistance can be provided upon arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given but rescheduling your dinner cruise is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your boarding time. Rescheduling is subject to a $25 per person transfer fee. Failure to appear on your booked date, cancel, or reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience.

Did the Gourmet Dinner Cruise on the Potomac in Washington DC. Good atmosphere; great band; good service. Portion size of meals were a little small. Appetizer had a strawberry garnish that had literally 2 very small pieces of strawberry. The desert we had to ask for additional raspberry sauce as it looked like it was scrapped off the plate.

The staff was friendly but not as professional as what I would expect for the price. No bread was available for the meal and cocktail and wine service was slow. Nice boat and I enjoyed the views.

They could not find our booking when we went to check in. We were sent back and forth between 2 of the 3 boat cruise company ticket offices. Apparently we'd been switched behind the scenes and it took them 45 minutes to finally figure this out and find our reservation. We did print off the confirmation email and brought it with us and the still had a hard time finding us. At least they were pleasant through the whole reservation ordeal. The overall experience was ok, we made it fun. The food was awful, but the staff was attentive and the sights were fantastic. We would not pay for this again, nor recommend this particular cruise to anyone.

Our waitress Maya and assisting waiter Johnnie were great. The food was really good. The live band was really good. The DJ was ok and dance floor was a little small. That would be the only reason I give it 4 stars.
