Test your piloting skills like the WWII Army Air Corps cadets when you fly this 1943 Fairchild PT-19 airplane.
Meet up with your co-pilot – an experienced FAA Certified Flight Instructor and member of the Commemorative Air Force – for 45 minutes of ground training. As you walk through the preflight instruction, admire the expertly restored body and controls of this fantastic piece of flight history. Learn about the instruments, controls and basic flight instructions before tightening your seatbelt and getting ready to soar.
Feel the rush of adrenaline as you leave the ground and the wind whips around you in the open cockpit. Your instructor is right there with you, guiding you through the motions and helping you really get a feel for what being a WWII pilot was like. Take in gorgeous views of the Western Chesapeake Bay below as you fly high before coming back in for a landing.

You’ll be flying in a 1943 Fairchild PT-19 aircraft, open cockpit, fully restored, former U.S. Army Air Corps machine. It’s one of 98 PT-19s flying worldwide today!
Returns
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Experience Gifts.
Once you have scheduled a date and received a confirmation email, cancellations and rescheduling are allowed at least 72 hours in advance. Once you are within 72 hours of the booked date, all bookings are final and no cancellations are allowed. Reschedules are allowed up to two times. Once you have rescheduled twice, it will be considered a final reservation. In the event that the experience is canceled by the experience provider due to inclement weather or maintenance issues to the aircraft, you may reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider. Failure to appear on the booked date, or reschedule within 72 hours will result in the loss of the value of the experience.
