Your adventure begins when you board the Maid of Mist for a boat cruise. You’ll sail down the rushing river, up close to the falls where the mist will stream past you. You’ll be provided with a poncho, so don’t worry about getting too wet. From here, descend 175 feet into the Niagara Gorge where you’ll traverse a series of walkways built beneath the monumental falls. Hear the thunderous roar of the water, feel the humid touch of the mist, stare in wonder at the falls. Once you’ve climbed to the “Hurricane Deck” you’ll be mere feet from the Bridal Veil Falls! The first half of your tour concludes with a visit to Goat Island and a fascinating lesson on the Falls’ history.
The second half of your adventure takes you over to the Canadian side of the falls! A glass elevator will take you up to the top of the Skylon Tower, where you’ll enjoy a lunch and panoramic views of the falls. From here, you’ll be taken on a fully-narrated driving tour that includes the Dufferin Islands, International Control Dam, and Old Scrow, remnants of a famous wreck that nearly sent two sailors tumbling over the falls!
