When Do I Choose A Date?

Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions and your experience with us begins!

Monday through Saturday:
Daily - 8:30 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:00 PM

Essential Information

Participants must be at least 12 years of age to fly unaccompanied in the helicopter, however children as young as 3 can fly with an adult so long as they purchase a seat
Open seating - seat assignments determined by weight and balance
All passengers must bring a valid form of ID
Passengers over 250 lbs will incur an additional fee
Passengers cannot scuba dive 24 hours before or after a helicopter flight
The route described is under normal trade winds and weather. Pilots reserve the right to alter the flight paths, as needed
Cameras must have straps in order to be able to take pictures during the flight
Pick up is available for most hotels in the area just make sure to indicate in your booking request that you would like to be picked up and include the name of the hotel you are staying in

Spectators

Additional spectators beyond the listed helicopter passengers are not allowed in the helicopter but are welcome to watch take-off and landing and take pictures.

Weather Dependent

This experience is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather, you will reschedule directly with the experience provider. Always contact the experience provider with any questions regarding weather conditions.

What To Wear

Please wear warm clothing, sunglasses or prescription glasses, and closed-toe shoes. Hair ties are recommended for anyone with long hair. Pockets must be empty, approved cell phone cases and lanyards are available for purchase on the day of the experience for $10 (price subject to change).

Are there any age, height or weight restrictions?

Passengers must be at least 12 years old to fly on their own. Children ages 3-11 are allowed if accompanied by an adult but are required by the FAA to sit in their own seat. Passengers over 250 pounds may be subject to an additional fee. Your seat assignment will be determined by weight and balance.

Can I take pictures from the helicopter?

Yes! The MD-500 Helicopter is perfect for photography enthusiasts! But make sure your camera has a strap as you will need it for the great action shots during your flight!

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring a government issued, valid form of ID with you.

Why is scuba diving not allowed 24 hours before and after this flight?

Flying too soon after an underwater descent, puts divers at risk for decompression sickness. DCS can happen when one experiences a significant atmospheric pressure change within a short period of time; in this case rapidly going from a scuba dive to a high altitude. Therefore, scuba diving is not allowed 24 hours before or after a flight.

What if my flight is cancelled due to weather?

We always recommend contacting your pilot on the day of your experience if you have any concerns regarding weather. In the event your flight is cancelled due to weather you can reschedule directly with your pilot.

Returns
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Experience Gifts.

Cancellation Policy

Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, no refunds will be given. Rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is cancelled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.
