When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You'll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions and your experience with us begins!

Year-Round:
Daily - 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Essential Information
  • Itineraries can vary and are subject to change based on weather and flying conditions
  • Passenger weight must not exceed 300 pounds 
  • Riders must be at least 5 years old
  • This experience has a minimum height requirement of 4'10" and a maximum height of 6'8"
  • Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign a release of liability waiver
  • Participants under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in the glider

This experience lasts approximately 15 minutes.

What To Wear
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring a baseball cap and sunglasses for the glare.

Is this experience safe?

All of the pilots are FAA Certified Commercial Pilots and have thousands of hours of flight time. All rides are given in high performance sailplanes, which are as large as airplanes and not to be confused with small, lightweight hang gliders.

How cold does it get and do I need to wear extra clothing?

It's a couple degrees colder in the glider then on the ground. Wear what you would be wearing if you were outside. Bring a baseball cap and sunglasses for the glare.

Can I take pictures?

Yes, you can bring your camera, cell phone, or GoPro!

What is the accessibility of this experience?

This experience provider strives to accommodate anyone who wants to join in for a glider ride. The team is willing and able to assist the rider in and out of the glider. You are also welcome to bring your own support. They do not have any specialized mechanical equipment to lower someone in or out of the glider. 

Is there free parking?

Yes! There is a large parking area near the runway. 

Are there any health requirements?

No, but if you have any concerns and health issues, please advise with your doctor.

When is the best time to fly?

9:00 AM to 11:30 AM is typically the smoothest time to fly. As the day heats up, there is better lift and can get a little bumpier.

Returns
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 30 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time.  If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Experience Gifts.

Cancellation Policy

Once you have received a booking confirmation, rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours prior to the experience. Failure to appear on your booked date or to cancel and reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event that this experience is cancelled due to inclement weather, the participant will be able to reschedule directly with the experience provider.
