About Your Instructor John Mason:
PGA Class A profession John Mason has 36 years of teaching experience and serves as the Director of Instruction at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course. He was recognized as the 2004 San Diego Chapter PGA Teacher of the Year and 2005 Southern California Section PGA Teacher of the Year. He was also the PGA Junior League National Champion Team Captain in 2015 and California State PGA Teacher Hall of Fame Member in 2017.
John has been recognized by Golf Digest as a Top 50 Instructor for the state of California and is a highly qualified and experienced instructor sure to help golfers of all abilities improve their game.

Will my lesson be with a famous professional golfer like Phil Mickelson or Sergio Garcia?
No, your lesson will not be with a famous golfer from the professional tour. Rather, your lesson will be with a qualified instructor who has received his Class A certification from the Professional Golfers' Association (PGA).
What is a PGA Class A Professional?
The golf instructor has been certified by the Professional Golf Association (PGA) as Class A professionals. In order to receive a PGA Class A, the instructor must have completed a multi-year series of work, study and training in every aspect of golf, must pass an aptitude test, and must maintain expertise through continuing education programs.
What will the lesson focus on?
This is a customized lesson for golfers of all levels, from beginners to experienced golfers looking to hone their skills. Areas of instruction may include driving, putting, chipping, proper body alignment, grip, posture, ball position, swing mechanics and more.
